Nick Colosi
Chairman of the Board
I am Nick Colosi, Chairman of the dog park. I have lived on the Island for 14 years & live with a greyhound & a Jack Russell terrier. Our yards on the Island are small, so I joined the park group to help establish a safe place for my grey to run & my terrier to be in constant motion. We have made huge improvements to the park & I am proud to be of service to the dogs & our Island. Enjoy the park! It takes a lot of work & money to maintain the park & we invite all dog people to join the group to help maintain & improve the park.
Jan Park-Rankin
Co-Chair
Jan Park-Rankin is the Co-Owner and Co-Publisher of The Island Moon Newspaper . Jan has spent most of her thirty year career in Media in Television production in various cities around the United States before settling in Corpus Christi in 1998. She has been an animal advocate for many years, fostering and rescuing stray animals. She is married to her partner of thirty years Dale Rankin.
Jed Blaich
Treasurer & Committee Chair for Fundraising
Happy resident on The Island since 2017. Had my own business(s) since starting my first one at age 28. That business did not have a computer, because they did not exist yet. Over the years I was involved in representing large manufacturers, doing energy efficiency projects for the DoD and funding and installing LED lighting conversions specifically for auto dealers throughout the US. Spare time spent enjoying island time, travel and family which includes our Miniature Australian Shepherd.
Andrea Wilczynski
At-Large Board Member
Andrea Wilczynski first moved to Corpus Christi to attend college at Texas A&M University-CC. She moved to the northeast to be with her now husband while he finished his training and persued her career in Microbiology & Molecular Science. They moved back to Corpus in 2022 to begin their family, a son and 3 rescue dogs.
Debbie Fitch
At-Large Board Member
Debbie Fitch has lived on the island for five years. She has two dogs, and seven grandkids (four on the island and three OTB).
Nicolas Garcia
At-Large Board Member
My name is Nicolas Garcia, and I was born and raised in Corpus Christi. My wife (Gloria Garcia) and I graduated from Carroll High School, and I moved to Dallas, Texas in 1976 to go to Electronic School. I owned a business manufacturing Printed Circuit Boards in Carrollton Texas. My wife and I moved back home to Corpus Christi in 2017. I have a couple businesses here but for the most part I am semi-retired. I enjoy golfing, fishing, and just hanging out at the beach. We are glad to be back home with family.

Our Mission
To establish a fenced-in, off-leash dog park where well-behaved canines and citizens can exercise and socialize in a clean safe environment without endangering or annoying people, property, or wildlife.
To develop a beautiful, well-maintained space, open to all dog lovers and friends who are willing to uphold the park’s rules and restrictions.
To view this park as a community project, in partnership with the city of Corpus Christi, designed to satisfy the needs of dogs and dog owners.
